Welcome to Troop 463!

Greetings from Troop 463 Phoenix District, Atlanta Area Council.

Who Are We?

We are a boy-led troop in Sandy Springs, GA.

What does boy-led led mean?

Every six months, the troop holds elections for leadership positions.  These positions include Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Leaders, Quartermaster, Scribe, Historian, Webmaster and Patrol Leaders.  Our boy leaders plan and lead troop meetings, and make decisions about programs.

What do we do?

We have weekly troop meetings at 7 PM every Monday.  We plan one campout each month and we have service projects and high adventure expeditions

Where are we?

The troop is based at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church at 86 Mount Vernon Highway.

Who can join?

All boys from 11 to 18 or Cub Scouts who have already received their Arrow of Light.

What do we do on campouts?

Among other things, hiking, rock climbing, rifle shooting, mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, caving, white water rafting and much more!

What else can you tell me?

We have opportunities for camps in winter and summer breaks to work on scouting skills and merit badges.
